Aerial hoop/lyra is a form of aerial acrobatics in which full-body strengthening movements are performed using a large hoop hanging from the ceiling.
This sport is particularly effective in developing upper body and core control, and increases whole body mobility. Fun for the whole family!
Rings are available with either one or two attachment points. The choice of attachment method is influenced by the gymnast's own preferences. A ring hanging from one attachment point will start spinning more easily than one attached from two points. A ring with one attachment point is also slightly more unstable, as it moves in all directions, and offers more of a challenge in performing certain movements. A ring attached from one bracket takes up slightly less space, and only requires one ceiling bracket.
This high-quality ring is made of a hollow metal tube with a diameter of 2.69 cm. It is very durable and just the right thickness to ensure a good grip. The surface of the ring is powder-coated black. You can use the ring as is, or buy additional grip tape. With the tape, you can easily change the look of the ring for shows, for example.

Choosing the size of the ring trapeze:
Ring harnesses are available in 6 different sizes: 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 and 105 cm.
A 95 cm diameter hoop is a good all-round size that will suit most users. This size is also ideal for yoga studios, where people of different heights will use the hoop. The size of the hoop will also depend on your personal preferences. Some exercises are easier to perform with a smaller hoop, others with a larger one.
However, if you want to measure the size that is right for your height, you can use a simple calculation. Sit on a bench with your back straight and measure your height from the bench to the top of your head. Add 10 cm to this measurement to find out the right tire size for you.
