Ilmajoogakankaan kiinnitys – yhdestä vai kahdesta pisteestä?

The aerial yoga fabric can be attached either from one or two attachment points, in this blog post we will help you choose the method that suits you best.

When attaching from one point, the fabric hangs in such a way that both ends of the fabric are attached at the same point, and at two attachment points the ends of the fabric are at different points. In aerial yoga, as in yoga in general, you should listen to yourself and find your own way to do it - this also applies to attaching the fabric. There are some differences - some are directly related to making, but the biggest difference is probably in feeling. How do you feel when you practice aerial yoga?

Briefly about the differences:

With a one-point attachment, the fabric "hugs" you both from the back and the front, and you can move around 360 degrees, e.g. if you want to spin, then this is the right choice. Also, if you want to make movements while standing on the fabric, one attachment point is then a safer choice - you can get firm support from the fabric on both sides.

With two points of fabric, you can't spin around as easily, so you won't accidentally get into an endless spinning motion either. The fabric doesn't hug you tightly and there's a sense of openness above your head - some people prefer this to a tight fit. Do not perform standing maneuvers with a two-point attachment, as it is not safe.

If you're not sure which one you want, or if the fabric has multiple users, you can play it safe and install two attachment points. In this way, you enable more variations and the preferences of many different users, because you can always move the end of the other fabric either separately or to the same attachment point. We also recommend trying aerial yoga under the guidance of a skilled instructor who can help you find the right fit for you.

That is, the choice depends on what kind of feeling you like and how limited you find the number of attachment points in your movement repertoire. You can familiarize yourself with both one-point and two-point attachment points FROM HERE.
