Air yoga fabric is a textile that gets dirty during use. During the exercise, the fabric is in constant contact with the trainee. No matter how clean the training clothes and bare skin are, you cannot prevent dirt and grease from sticking to the fabric - you can only slow down the dirtiness. To extend the washing interval, always wear a shirt that covers your armpits, clean socks and avoid wearing heavy make-up and strong perfumes.
Air yoga fabrics are machine washable, so washing them is not unreasonably laborious even in busy everyday life. However, there are a few important things to follow when washing and drying fabrics in order to preserve the fabric's long service life. By taking care of the aerial yoga fabric, the strength, safety and colors of the fabric are preserved well. Correct maintenance of fabrics has an effect on the condition of the fabric, which especially affects its safe use and longevity.
This is how you wash the air yoga fabric in the washing machine:
- Remove all metal parts from the fabric so that only the fabric goes in the wash
- when putting it in the wash, it is convenient to check the condition of the fabric, especially where the knots have been opened (it is also good to check the fabric before use)
- wash only one fabric at a time
- use only mild detergent
- wash the air yoga cloth with cold water and use the delicate wash program
- you can use fabric softener, especially in winter the fabric gets electrified easily and with a suitable fabric softener this can be reduced.
After washing, keep these things in mind when drying the air yoga fabric and the fabric will remain in the best possible condition, i.e this is how you dry the fabric after washing:
- Do not dry the fabric in the dryer - not even on the lowest heat! Machine drying can weaken the fabric fibers, making the fabric unsafe to use.
- avoid drying in direct sunlight, as the sun's UV radiation can also weaken the material and reduce the safety of use
- dry the fabric inside, away from sunlight
- if there is space in your training place, you can attach the fabric to dry directly in the space reserved for it. You can speed up the drying of the hanging fabric by directing a fan towards it.
- make sure the cloth is completely dry before using it again.
You can try to keep the aerial yoga fabric clean for longer, for example by training only in clean clothes, if possible by using a towel to dry visible sweat during the exercise, and by avoiding leaking wounds/sores from hitting the fabric.
