Aerial yoga fabric – like any product – wears out and sometimes reaches the end of its useful life. Fabrics have a long service life if properly maintained, even years. Sometimes, however, it is possible that the aerial yoga fabric is damaged, e.g., due to jewelry, rings, loops in training clothes or because of a sale. Anything that can stick to the fabric during training should be taken off before the start of the training, and you should choose clothes for training that do not have metal loops or other things that can damage the fabric. The same should be noted when you let your friend, your children, your client or others try your aerial yoga fabric in their everyday clothes!

Before each use, the aerial yoga cloth should be inspected to ensure safe training. The nature of aerial yoga includes the risk of falling and hurting yourself, and therefore you should invest in safe use. As a professional, you can teach your client to check their own fabric before each exercise. In this way, they learn to take responsibility for their own exercise and carry the good habit forward, e.g. to exercises done at home and to other studios. For home use, make it a habit to check and also teach other users, like children, to take care of the condition of the product.

It is quick and easy to do the check before the exercise. Here's how to check:

  • Remove the aerial yoga fabric from the hanger.
  • Run the fabric through your hands and check it for holes, tears or other wear. If you notice something wrong with the product, disable it and replace it with a new one.
  • Pay special attention around the O-ring - the knot. If you can, remove the tire and straighten the fabric by running it through your hands to see the wear better. If you don't open the knot, check the knot carefully - if the metal ring has a crack, a crack or has changed its shape significantly, you should open the knot and check the condition of the fabric directly.
  • Check the cleanliness of the fabric. If the fabric smells musty, remove the fastenings, O-rings and wash according to the instructions.

Aerial yoga is a fun sport that can be practiced in many ways. It can be energetic, trick-or-treating, tiring or relaxing as you like. But especially always, aerial yoga must be safe! Nothing is as important as using the product safely, so make safety a habit. Safety is the first step to peace of mind.
