A single pole with a fair-sized soma is excellently suited for moving in snowy conditions. The Somma has a load capacity even in closed snow and on soft snow. The poles make snowshoeing more efficient and make it easier to stay upright in the immersing wind. Metsä, erä and -snowshoe poles have a large sompa, so that the pole does not sink deep into the snow. Somma's material is soft and flexible plastic, so it does not harden and break in severe frost like many hard plastics. The handles of the pole are also plastic and adjustable straps are attached to them. The ends have metal spikes with ready-made rubber plugs for protection. Somma can be easily removed if necessary if you don't want to use them, so you can use poles for, for example, pole walking.
The fiberglass rod is light and durable. The sharp and durable metal tip helps you move forward even on icy surfaces. In soft snow, you need slightly longer poles than in hard packed snow.
